Walking Force Fetch

The walking force fetch is a continuation of forcing to ground. Set four to five bumpers around your yard in a circle or a line with about 15 to 20 feet between bumpers. Heal your retriever from bumper to bumper. As you approach a bumper place your hand out in front of the retriever in the direction of the bumper and command fetch it up. The retriever, if properly forced to ground should move to the bumper, pick it up and return to the heal on command. If the retriever fails to pick up the bumper reinforce the command with an ear pinch.

All refusals are dealt with immediately without a second chance. The goal is to move from bumper to bumper commanding the retriever to fetch up the bumpers. As you take the bumper from your retriever throw it behind you and continue to walk. Walking force fetch is completed when you can successfully pass all bumpers three times and your retriever does not refuse a command to fetch.
